Hotel Gnollhof
Margit and Peter Verginer

Our life revolves around this place.

We are the fourth generation to run the Gnollhof, after taking it over from our father, Wilhelm Verginer. Just as our parents before us, we recognise being a host as a matter close to our hearts. It is also a personal challenge that everyone masters using their own personal talents as well as considerable passion and creativity. We both contribute to the hotel with our ideas and visions. We listen to each other, discuss, and evaluate our positions in order to reach joint decisions. We have known Gnollhof since childhood. Now, as successors, we bear the responsibility for longstanding employees and our own family.

Margit and Peter Verginer cultivate their heritage with great reverence.

The gourmet specialist

Peter, in close cooperation with our team of cooks, is the one responsible for managing the culinary offer at Gnollhof, which combines regional and Mediterranean flavours. Traditional recipes are reinterpreted, often breaking away from the usual in doing so. His youthful curiosity and the desire to be creative harmonise very well with his sister’s confident sense of style.

The aesthetic woman

Margit’s strategic vision and her innate sensitivity for the qualities of our hotel play a significant role in the success of Gnollhof. She has an eye for the essential as well as an eye on everything: On the supply of fresh flowers that decorate the entrance, on our beauty offer, and on our professional wine service at your table. Employees have a fair and sincere boss at their side, and the guests have a hostess who takes their wishes and suggestions to heart.

The Verginer brothers

Indispensable to Gnollhof. As always, Wilhelm has plenty of drive and helps wherever he can. He drives the ski shuttle, keeps the lawns perfectly trimmed, and takes care of the fallow deer. The shy forest dwellers live in an enclosure behind the hotel. Wilhelm and his brother, Klaus, tend to their daily feeding with dry bread and grain. Both of them are big animal lovers. Apart from that, Klaus insists on preparing the much-loved Speck dumplings himself at Gnollhof, during which he passes recipe tips to the kitchen team.
